This course, which is part of The Great Gorge Golf Reserve, is a true links-style design that is void of any trees, but harbors deep, native grasses. This course has been rated the #1 public course in the state and is currently in contention for the #3 course in the nation, according to an employee. The fairways are cross-cut, and the greens are very large and undulating. It's not uncommon to have a putt break six or seven feet. The greens are also very fast, but if you find the line you will be rewarded. There is no specific signature hole for this course, however, the entire course was built similar to an Irish links design. During the evening, this course has a bagpipe player who performs in the clubhouse and restaurant areas. Weather depending, this course will stay open year round. There is a variety of price packages depending on the time, season and if you are walking. For more information, please contact the pro shop. The David Glenz Golf Academy is located on the premises and can be reached by calling (888) 794-6439.

Bagpipes and fescue, May 14, 2004 |

| really great (newer) course, lots of undulating fairways, and you don't want to get caught in the fescue. Not a lot of trees, but the fescue is merciless, stay in the fairways. very nice course, you may hear some bagpipes going on while you golf, not too bad except for when you are putting. I would recommend playing here for a public course. |
