This somewhat easy course for the average player features tree-lined fairways. There are a few sand bunkers on the course, and water hazards come into play on a number of holes. Alex McKay designed nine new holes, which were added in 1965. This course does not open until 11AM on Monday.

EARLY FALL CONDITION, Sep 14, 2005 |

| AS A NEW MEMBER HERE AND STILL MEMBER AT ANOTHER COURSE IN MARYLAND, SPOTSWOOD IS IN THE BEST CONDITION FOR EARLY FALL. THE GREENS ARE FAST, YET WILL HOLD A GOOD SHOT, THE FAIRWAYS ARE PLUSH... JUST A GREAT PLACE TO PLAY. |

| The course is relatively easy after you play it a couple of times. The problem with the course is there are too many blind tee shots and sometimes blind second shots to the green. There is a target to aim for but that does not indicate the pin position. The fairways, greens and bunkers are well maintain and easy to hit from. |

Somewhat Easy but attractive, Mar 27, 2004 |

| Although this is not the most difficult course in the world, the setting is wonderful, and teh course is well-maintained. Enough water to make it a bit challenging, but not many bunkers come into play. Don't miss enjoying a drink in the brand new clubhouse, it is top-notch. |
