This is a well-maintained course. The fairways are plush, and the greens are fast. This is a good course for beginning golfers because it doesn't have many hazards and it's easy to walk.

I think this is one of the best public courses I have ever played. All the holes are different and challenging, and the staff is very friendly.

Lake Chabot Municipal Golf Course - Short Course
"Great views/not so great greens"
This is a great little par 3 course with some awesome views of the bay at an elevated tee (4th hole) The greens are covered with clover and are very fast. This is the best par 3 course I've played (only played a few) especially costing only $8.

"Good course management required"
This tight, tree-lined venue has numerous doglegs, precise bunkering and water on 14 holes. Those challenges, combined with relatively short length make it a serious test for all levels of players. Four sets of tees accommodate virtually all golfers. The club does not discriminate against women in membership or availability of tee times. Exceptional food and service are other attributes which make this club a tremendous value.

Twin Hills Golf Course
"Short and well maintained"
Twin Hills is a short course - 6000 yards according to the card, and even that might be a stretch. The game starts on the greens here; they are among the most difficult in the area because of the undulations. The best holes are the par 3s. The facilities are barebones - no proshop, small and dated clubhouse. No frills golf, but they seem to have course maintenance down to a science.
