This shotmaker's course was carved out of rolling, wooded hills and has several holes that require forced carries over wetlands, while others feature dogleg fairways. The greens have a variety of shapes and each has at least three tiers. The most difficult par 4 on the course is hole #8, which measures 460 yards. The entire left side of the fairway is guarded by wetlands, and your second shot must carry over the wetlands to a small green.

| I was able to play the this course over the summer. It is a challenging course with fantastic views of the river and other natural surroundings. The greens and fairways were in great condition and they played true. The couse is very hilly and is built in nicley to its surrondings. Take the safe shot here and you should shoot fine. A fun course to play, I recommend it to all players experts and begginners. |

EXCELLENT, Nov 04, 2004 |

| This is my home course, so I'm quite familiar with it. I've played probably 30 different golf courses, and I must say I am yet to play one any nicer. Every course has a flaw or 2, and this is no exception. This course is challenging for all golfers. For the longer hitters, it will bait you into alot of " go for it" situations. Play this course once from the short tees and then again from the tips, and it's a whole new course. overall 2 thumbs up!! |

Virginia Golf at it's finest!, Mar 04, 2004 |

| Played this course early March 2004. Fairways were still dormant, greens in fairly good condition, rolled very true. Cart paths still need to be finished, most are gravel. Front nine is a lot of elevation changes and then the back nine opens up, with spectacular views of the Piankatank River. Did not eat at restaurant, however it was busy during lunch. Staff was friendly. A must play course! |
