This course, located in Northeast Georgia, is one of only twelve in the nation that have been recognized as being part of the Audubon International Signature Program. Spanning over 475 acres, the course is located in rustic tranquility. Nature trails connect holes on this versatile course, which in some areas is links in style, and others a mountainous terrain. The fast greens are touted as the best in the area. Some fairways are tree lined, others are skirted by natural grasses. This is not a tight course. The signature hole is #17, a 640-yard, par 5, which features a natural ravine on the left side, making it imperative to drive right. The second shot requires avoiding a pair of fairway sand bunkers. The green is small and elevated. Cedar Creek meanders through the course, coming into play on five holes. "Golf Digest" selected it 6th among the "Best New Affordable" courses for 1999.

Every putt is a tough putt, Nov 03, 2004

One of the better golf experiences I've ever had...The greens are fast & roll smooth...I can't remember a "flat putt" with the exception of maybe #3 hole. The course is beautiful and the grounds immaculate. The club house has Hotel accommodations and an incredible restaurant. Go play and stay.

Excellent course, Mar 14, 2004

I played this course in summer of 03 and was pleasantly surprized. I was travelling south on I-85 and saw their sign and drove over to Hartwell to try it out. It was great! My score will be better when I get a chance to play it more often. Overall, excellent course.

"Great Greens"
Great greens and thats just the start. From tee to green this course was in super shape. You must remember this is the dead of winter and the course was 5 star. The staff was very nice and told us to have a great time, most places just take your money and show you were the carts are. This is also a great course to walk.

"It's Okay"
This course is okay as far a playability goes. When I went there were dead spots of grass in the fairways and the greens, however we were in the middle of a drought during this time. For a small town golf course, it is pretty good.
