This course was cut out of an old oak forest and built on hilly terrain. The fairways are excellent, even in the winter. This is a typical P. B. Dye design with the usual mounding. The elevated greens are excellent and fast. "Golf Digest" selected this course 10th in the category of "Best New Affordable Course" for 1996. The course borders the 100-acre Curtis Lake and features water hazards coming into play on several holes. Players may walk the course after 4 PM.

| This course is very scenic and fun to play with a lot of challenges throughout the layout. However, it is extremely difficult on some holes and is another typical Pete Dye target type of course. It is not recommended for improving your handicap. |
