This course plays much more difficult than the yardage indicates. Surrounded by trees, the rolling fairways are open and easy to walk. The large, sloping greens are well-maintained and can make for some challenging putts. Green fees are good for all-day play. Men and ladies play from the same set of tees.

"The New Management has made Deer Lake GREAT"
I've been a golfer for alomost 20 years now (in North East Ohio) and it always delights me to find a course like Deer Lake. This course changed management about 3 years ago and there have been MAJOR improvements. The fairways have a much more professional feel to them and the greens are now firm and entertaining. This course has come a long, long way in the last couple of years and the new management should be congradulated. Not only that but greens fees are the lowest that I've found in the area. When you go in ask Carlo, the owner, for some of his special chili.

Joe Wheeler State Park Golf Course
"Good Value in Lovely Setting"
This is a decent public golf course set in a nice state park. Fairly hilly. Some tough shots but playable for most anyone. Greens are adequate. This is a great value as a second round on the same day is discounted.
