This course's back nine is more hilly and narrower than its front nine. The #15 hole is surrounded by thick woods. This course has many trees of all ages lining its fairways, and an assortment of flower beds add to its scenic beauty. Every fairway has sand bunkers in play, and water hazards (ponds) come into play on holes #6, #8, and #9. The 6,409-yard men's also has a ladies' course rating of 73.8 and slope of 127.

Up North at its' best, May 13, 2005

Challenging course with fast greens. Water and traps come into play often. For those who come to play The Big Fish (Dye Course) you should stay an extra day and play Hayward Golf & Tennis.

I only have been golfing for about 3 years now. I normally golf in the area where I live (Sparta, WI) so to be comparable, Hayward Golf & Tennis was an excellent course, but very challenging. I definately would like to "challenge" myself again with this course.

One of the toughest and most perfectly maintained courses I've seen. Always has the best greens in the state. Looooooong par fours, interesting par fives and great par threes. Friendly, non-pretentious membership.

Winter Springs Golf Club
"Winter Springs Wetlands"
This course is challenging because your lie had better be in the fairway or you'll most likely be looking for it in some form of casual water or very thick rough. The fairways were either overly-tight, negelected, outright wet, or all three. The greens are a muddy, slow-medium to slow speed with only a fair amount of undulation. The par 3 greens are almost all too large and too flat to be much fun. I've played WPGC twice and didn't really enjoy the experience because of all the standing water in the rough and on the fairways. I'm rating the course at 2 stars only because they have reliable and frequent refreshment cart service.

Clayton Park Golf Course
"Golfing as a begginer"
This is deffinitely a 5-star begginner course for 1st timers . The people who golf are so bad it isn't even funny. well actually it is pretty funny. Like I know this kid named bob pennock who hit the ball behind him. Man did he suck but this course was perfect for him because he only shot 60 over. At cobbs creek, which by the way is not the best begginers course in the land he shot a 285. He is a good guy. But after he went to Clayton Park for a while it helped him alot now he is shooting 5 over at Clayton and 20 over at Cobbs. So it is a very good course to step you up to the plate.
