The original course is the back nine holes. The front nine was added later to make the existing eighteen hole layout. Because the two nines were built at different times, the greens on the front nine are smaller than the greens on the back. The course is predominantly flat, but there are some hills that can cause uneven lies. There are two ponds that come into play on four holes, and other water hazards affect holes #14 and #16. Greenside sand bunkers have been added to fourteen of the eighteen holes, many of which are difficult to get out of.

Twin Hills Golf Course
"Well conditioned and fun to play"
I have a 6 cap and play all the courses in our area. I belong to a private club but still enjoy a round of golf at Twin Hills. The course is short for most big hitters, but still has plenty of trouble. You will find beautiful fairways and greens throughout the year. The speed of play will be around 4 hours for 18. I don't think there are too many courses that have the quality of golf and conditions that Twin Hills offers for the price. It is well worth the time to play here.

"Good Starter Course"
For an inexpensive, well maintained course to play while you are learning the basics of golf, this course is the one to play on. No par 5's. The course has good water, and easy par 3's that are helpful when you feel the pressure of the group behind you when your beginning. For the price, the location in Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park is beautiful, and I've never felt that a person starting off in the sport would feel embarrassed to make a mistake at this course.

White Hawk Golf Course
"Best Golf Course in the Tulsa metro!"
This course has to be the best course in the Tulsa metroplex! It's front 9 is wide open links style, then the back tightens extremely! The back 9 is more target shooting. The staff has the best customer service I have ever seen! The proshop staff is very nice and greets you with a smile, and so does the grill. If you go you have to try there hamburgers, the best in town!

"3 today 4-5 tomorrow"
18 months ago this course was finally purchased by someone who really wanted to make a statement about the course. They finally finished off the exiting log structure into a beautiful clubhouse/restaurant/bar. With fantastic views of the course, there are few clubhouses that can beat this "19th hole". The course itself did need some work, the greens looked like they had had some issues over the winter. There are plans underway to relocate holes 8 & 9 (which is a good thing, they are probably the most blah holes on the course) and build a 60 room hotel. All-in-all the course is still one of my favorite courses up in GR. Some TLC to the greens and this course is one of the best in northern Minnesota.
