This course features large, undulating greens and water hazards coming into play on eleven holes. In addition, mounds line both sides of some fairways, and numerous sand bunkers have been positioned on the fairways and around the greens. The signature hole is #18, a 398-yard, par 4, which is highlighted by a water hazard on the right of the fairway. The tee shot must avoid the water hazard looming on the right side of the fairway and the approach must carry over a lake to the green. Following a 1987 redesign of the course by Hubert Green and Bob Cupp, the Southern Nevada Golf Association rated this as the #1 course in 1993. Furthermore, additional course improvements were made in 1996, including a new 15,000 square foot clubhouse. The new clubhouse amenities include full locker room facilities, a pro shop, a dining room and bar, and a 3,000 square foot banquet room overlooking the course. This club offers twilight and seasonal rates, plus discounts for Clark County residents. Friday green fees are the same amount as weekends. The automated tee time reservation number is (800) 884-1818. Since this course is managed by American Golf, special discount rates are available for any American Golf Card holders.

Wildhorse now City of Henderson golf course!, Apr 10, 2005

Wildhorse was closed and redesigned / renovated in 2004 by architects Schmidt & Curley. It is now a 6,500, par 70 layout. A City of Henderson owned municipal golf course with great resident rates. The driving range is huge!

This is a beautiful and well designed course. The course can prove to be challenging for both the beginner and scratch golfer alike. The high grass that seperates some of the holes can be frustrating, so you would be well advised to keep to the left on such holes. During the fall the greens are usually riddled with leaves and twigs so spring and summer would be your best bet. The developer did an excellent job incorporating the natural surroundings into the course. With a tee off the top of a ridge on hole one, to the natural rocks that appear throughout the course, Greystone Golf Club in Dickson is sure to give you the feeling of connecting with nature as you connect with your ball.
