Getting the Story Straight, Feb 04, 2011
reviewer: Double D from Ballwin, Mo.
I read some of the other post and laughed. This course does have a great layout that can be played over and over challenging all facets of your game, for the beginner or avid golfer. Whenever I hear some one bash a course, I want to immediately see their scorecard, usually it is an ego complaint, rather than the course. You owe it to yourself to go play this course and enjoy. By the way Hole #6 is an awesome hole, tough par 4!

Dont wast your time, Jan 19, 2011
reviewer: PGA Golf Professional from Iowa
One of the worst courses in STL. To start I am PGA golf professional and they didnt have any type of pga professional courtesy. i couldnt get my tee in the gound on any of the tee boxes. There was very little gass on the fairways you would want to be in the ruff. The staff sucked I will never go back

needs some serious tlc!, Aug 23, 2010
reviewer: jeremy s from st. louis mo usa
this course has great potential but needs some serious attention! cool layout for the most part (hole 6 is just plain stupid!) but greens were fried! some were pretty much bare! granted its been warm but a little water would have gone a long way. also no marshal. we were stuck behind a 4some with 2 women who refused to let us play through, ended up being almost a six hour round. also no cart girl with drinks coming around. cart paths are completely shot and tee boxes need a lot of work on most holes. i would say spend an extra $10 and go somewhere else. youll be happier at the end of the day.

Improving, May 27, 2010
reviewer: John from Pacific, MO
This course is slowly returning to it's old self. Always a fun course to play. Tough but fair depending on where you tee. Improvement to # 8 would move this course to a 4 star.

NEEDS SKY CADDIE, Apr 29, 2010
reviewer: Bob from St. Louis
This course needs Sky Caddie. I have asked them about getting with Sky Caddie, the employes do not think that this is going to happen.

The price is right!, Aug 13, 2007

You can not play a more scenic and challenging course for so little money. Great greens but horrible cart paths... oh well. Very fun!

WHAT>>>, May 22, 2007
reviewer: Dan from Ballwin Missouri
Read the reviews and not sure where they played at! This course has a very nice layout, even with 3 of the most ridiculous holes I have ever seen, has very well kept greens, and thats it for some reason. Tee boxes are always bald, half of the fairways are in valleys with little sun and seldom any grass, and thats grass, not bent, zoysia, bermuda, just grass...ball cleaners are always empty during the week...lakes look like sewage holes if there is any water in them....club house personal, are lacking at best...cart paths are a disaster. This place is a shame, what could be a hell of a course is so poorly maintained it sickens me. I have played it 1-2 times a year for 11 yrs. and other than greens, it keeps getting worse.

Getting Better, Jun 16, 2006
reviewer: Toby from High Ridge
I have golfed Sugar Creek the last 3 years, and it's getting better. The grass is looking better than I have ever seen it there. The still have some work to do. They need ball washers at every hole, mark the distance a little better and clean up some areas.
