This is a traditional-style course with tight fairways and many trees lining the fairways. There is water that comes into play on seven holes. This course has been redesigned by Larry Packard in 1961, Larry and Roger Packard in 1975, Ken Killian and Dick Nugent in 1980 and Dick Nugent redesigned one hole in 1984.

| I have played Ruth Lake's golf course many times and I must say it is quite delightful and yet very challenging. The fairways are very narrow and if you miss it you will likely end up in the trees. There are plenty of fairway bunkers which makes your driving accuracy ever so important and the greens are sloped with bunkers near or around them most of the time. On holes where there is water it almost always directly affects your shot with water being in front of the 13th, 14th, 16th, and 18th greens. Also,the course is very well kept and there is a snack stop that is strategically placed in the middle of both the front and back nine. So you can stop in for a treat if you get hungry. All in all this is a great course for both beginner and pro. |
