Bas-Ridge Golf Course
Plunkett StHinsdale, MA 01235

This club opened its back nine during the 1998 season. This course was built on level terrain, so it is easy to walk. Some trees can alter your shots, and water hazards come into play on five holes.

Nuts not to try, Mar 11, 2010 |

| I fear I'm revealing a well kept secret. Bas Ridge remains one of my most favorite courses. Its back nine probably is my favorite back nine anywhere. Well maintained, friendly and fun to play. Each hole offers its own challenge. Water, blind spots, trees, angles, chasms, hills and #16 with an incredibly narrow first 180 yards that turns right into a wide fairway with an elevated green. Even the least interesting hole(#3)can challenge you if you don't hit it right. The sand traps are not lethal, but they are there. Very pretty with some nice Berkshire views. Very walkable, but definitely not flat It's an incredible value for your buck. |

Short and Dramatic, Jul 29, 2009 |

| This is an ideal off beat golf experience in the scenic Berkshire Hills. It's extremely short with multiple risk=reward scenarios to consider off the tee. The elevation change is dramatic in places and the greens are spacious and accepting. (All the recent rain helps.) It's not fancy, but the price is right and the experience memorable. We will definitely be back. (Cash Only) |

Great course, Jun 16, 2005 |

| Bas Ridge in my opinion is probably the best public course in Berkshire county. I'm 21 and I just began golfing a few years ago (handicap 22), but I've played almost every public course in the Berkshires. Bas Ridge is one of the best maintained courses I've played. The grounds crew are always working on the course and it really shows, the greens are in great shape as are the fairways. It is a nice open course, with relatively wide fairways, and reasonably sized greens. Its not a course you can get bored with regardless of your skill level. I've played there with friends and family who's handicaps range from single digits to the mid 40s and all of them really like the course. The course is also quite inexpensive; less then $20 for 18. It is a bit hilly but I always walk the 18. I highly recommend this course. |

Bas Ridge - Summer 2004, Aug 04, 2004 |

| I am a member of the grounds crew at Bas Ridge and a frequent golfer at the course. I would just like to tell my fellow golfers that the course is currently in great shape. Due to the abundance of rain lately and the warm temperatures, the grass is growing very thick and lush. Greens are in great shape and are fairly fast. Fairways are also in the best shape I have seen them in past few years and the tees are looking better as well. Currently we have replaced the sand in 3 more bunkers, leaving only 4 bunkers with the old sand in them, and most with the new, soft white sand. Some other summer projects have included clearing brush on some holes out and resodding areas that have been damaged in the past years. In all, the course is in the best shape I have ever seen and in great condition to play on. It is a great short course which I love to play, and is very good practice for your iron game and short game. That is why I rate it 5 stars. |

| I'm not a great golfer. But,I do know a good time. Bas Ridge is a fun course. It has some hills, dog-legs and long holes. You won't get bored. I've played sone renown courses in Arizona and California and wished I was playing at Bas Ridge. It is reasonably priced and well maintained. It also has some very pretty vistas. |
