This scenic course lies between the Lockwood Folly River and Intracoastal Waterway. Because this course features such narrow holes, shot accuracy is at a premium. Water hazards (lakes, creeks, and ponds) come into play on fifteen holes. The signature hole is #18, a 500-yard, par 5, with a slight dogleg right fairway and water coming into play twice. The ocean is behind this hole's green, so on many days the wind will be blowing directly into your face.

This very exclusive club is one of the best i've ever played on. Not excessively long, but very challenging. The course was in impeccable shape, and 16 of the 18 holes could be signature holes. If you ever get a chance to play this beatiful track, jump at it.

"Must Play"
This golf course has an excellent layout and is a must play in the Detroit area. The greens, fairways, and tees were all in good shape and I believe they had four or five sets of tees to choose from for all different skill levels. The bag drop, shop staff, professionals, bartenders, waitresses, rangers, and starters were all extremely curtious and helpful. I really felt like I was a member at this club. For $70 on a weekend I was a little afraid I wouldn't get my money worth. Now I make about an hour trip a few times a month to play the course.

Played the course in Aug. 2003. Nice course and club house. But the course is too short. Strong players will over power the course. Most par 4's are driver/3 wood and then wedge in. Par four 4th hole is a driveable par four. A bogey on that hole should leave a bad taste in one's mouth. The next hole, a short par three, is not too exciting despite a sloped green. The pro shop is well stocked and the pro is very friendly. Nice course to play but members may get bored after a year or two.
