This golf course is a fair to mediocre 9 hole course. It is cheap and for me was close for practice. Beware, if you are injured on their property they claim they have NO liability insurance, they could care less about any medical expenses you incur and they have a dangerous golf cart set up. A customer hit me with a golf cart in the parking lot, causing serious injury. The management refused to give any information regarding insurance to cover medical bills and now claims they have no insurance. This place is not worth the risk.

Not a bad course, exception to the noise of sqeeling tires and loud voices coming from the maintenance shop between holes 1&2 but a good value after 3pm

Indian Springs Golf Club
"Indian Springs - Hidden Jewel"
This course is in a rural setting, with many farms around. Getting to it is a challenge, but once there, some pleasurable hours will be had. The course was well maintained, with good fairways and well manicured greens. There is almost an "upper level" and "lower level" for play and the elevation changes pretty dramatically for middle Illinois. There are plenty of water hazards, woods and places to make shots, so the course may be tough for new players. For shotmakers, it is a great skill test. The signature hole offers a scenic tee, overlooking two water hazards, gazing out into a woods and just barely able to see the dogleg right hole. Anything too far out or left or right goes out of play, and bunkers guard the green on the approach. The clubhouse has the essentials for refreshments, the price is moderate and the staff are friendly. I would recommend this course to anyone for an enjoyable outing and challenge.

This course has fast greens and is kept in good shape. The fairways arent long but are tight in places. Nice layout with plenty of water and traps.

"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.
