This club offers two regulation eighteen hole courses that alternate daily between public and private play. The climate is very moderate, and the courses are located in the countryside. The steeper Diablo Course is the shorter of the two, but requires more strategy and placement off the tee. Water and sand bunkers are abundant. The best hole on the front nine is #7, a 595-yard, par 5, which requires five excellent shots. A ravine cuts into the fairway from the right side 240 yards off the tee, and follows the left side of the fairway up to the green. The Gabilan Course is flatter and longer, and has seen plenty of tournament action from some of the best golfers in the world. In 1996 and 1997, this course was used as a qualifier for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am event. There's a lot of homes on this course, which means a lot of out-of-bounds areas. The key to the course is negotiating five water hazards, and a canyon that comes into play on holes #11 and #12. The Junior LPGA and the California Regional Championship are also held here annually.

Del Monte Golf Course

Great course, classic layout, old style, just a wonderful golf experience. I've played Old Del Monte many times. It is a slightly shorter and yet just as fun older brother to several of the other Monterey/Carmel area courses. Oldest golf course west of the Mississippi River, it is close to the Monterey airport, close to hotels, and provides a wonderful, old-feel idea of what it was like to play on courses before big land movers shapped and sculpted the ground. It is fun to play, fun to hang around at the pro-shop/coffee shop. Just a really neat golfing experience.

if you are looking for a great rate during season this is the place to go. rolling hills, interesting dog legs and well maintained greens. It can play long as several holes including #1 take you uphill, and you get to use every club in your bag. It plays through a retirement mobile home community that is well maintained and full of friendly people. Get out and play golf!
