True golf at it's finest, Sep 18, 2009

I just played Ravisloe Country Club. I found it to be an awesome, super fun golf course, aside from beautiful, well maintained and manicured. The Club House is also quite Beautiful in it's own right. I also found all the personnel to be very helpful and courteous. I loved playing Ravisloe and so did the rest of our foursome Cannot wait to play Ravisloe again !

A Joy to Play, Sep 28, 2007
reviewer: Brad Lyerla from Chicago
A friend is a member and invites me to play as his guest twice a year. I look forward to it every time I am invited. The course is fascinating and a challenge. The front nine is thought provoking. Almost every stroke presents a choice and the greens are tricky. The back nine is just gorgeous. Holes 12 through 17 are as beautiful as any in the Chicago area. Never decline an invitation to tee it up at the Rav.

PLus 4, Apr 13, 2004
reviewer: Anonymous from Chicago
Originally designed in 1901 by James Foulis (from Old Tom's shop in St. Andrews), and revised by Donald Ross in the teens, Ravisloe is a classic of traditional golf architecture. Don't be fooled by its modest length; the trouble is thoughtfully placed, the fairways narrow, and the greens a tough defense. The stretch from 12-17 is awe inspiring, with great natural rhythm--i.e., pars 4-5-4-3-4-4. The bunkers throughout the course are some of the most unorthodox ever devised by Ross. This course is a gem!
