This course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect many changes in elevation and uneven lies. There are only a few sand bunkers incorporated into this course's design, but water hazards come into play on at least five holes. The tree-lined fairways still afford generous landing areas, and the large greens are fast. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 8th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and the 11th best for 1997-98. Caddies are available for golfers who choose to walk the course.

Wilshire Golf Club
"Good Challenge; Poor Conditions."
Wilshire is a challenge in disguise. With many decisions shots like weather to carry the creek on the first hole or whether or not to cut the corner off of the 17th. But the adverse course condidions can discourage most golfers that are looking for a challenge. Shabby fairways and greens give it a rough appearance but it is a good deal for the price.

Hickory Hills Golf Club
"Monroe Central Golfers"
I think that overall the course is nice. It could be so much better. Like if the fairways were bent grass and if you would take care of your creek edges and ponds. We would also like to send out all of our thanks to Darel Doss for making Hickory Hills a better place to be. Oh and by the way Wapahani, you just better watch out. We might have a suprise in confrence!
