This resort, which was one of the first places to attract golfers to the mountains, was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1996 and 1998 lists of "Golf Medal Resorts." It offers three outstanding eighteen hole courses. The Old Course features narrow, tree-lined fairways and small, undulating greens. The terrain is somewhat flat, so walking isn't too strenuous. The Cascades Course has narrow fairways and well-bunkered greens. "GOLF Magazine" rated this course as the 13th best under the 1996 category of "Top 100 You Can Play in the U.S.," and "GOLFWEEK" selected this Virginia's #1 course. The Cascades Course has played host to two U.S. Women's Amateur Championships, a Curtis Cup match, and the 1967 U.S. Women's Open. The Lower Cascades Course features open fairways and large, bent grass greens. There are water hazards coming into play on all three courses. The Old Course has had extensive renovations done by William Flynn and, more recently, by Rees Jones who has assisted with nearly $1 million in improvements. The Cascades Course was redesigned by Robert Trent Jones in 1961. You may reserve a tee time up to sixty days in advance if you are a guest. Caddies are mandatory if you choose to walk any course. The fees shown are for guests staying at the resort.

Springville Country Club
"Best Course in WNY"
Not an overly long course, it rewards accuracy off the tee and penalizes errant strokes. The greens are fast and true, and generally break less than one would imagine. The front nine is deceptive, punishing anyone who strays off the tree-lined fairways. The back nine can be attacked, but the sightlines off the tees can intimidate the first time player. Use long irons from the tee to keep the ball in play(only if they are are a strength in your game), and you will be surprised with the result. Putting is the primary key to scoring on this picturesque layout.

"Beware the Trees"
CCCC offers an interesting layout nestled in a thickly forested peninsula that juts into Cedar Creek Lake, about 60 miles southeast of Dallas. The course will challenge you, but it is not impossible.

White Hawk Country Club
"Better than others around"
I have golfed at White Hawk for the past three summers and have found it to be a challenging three courses. With black being the hardest it is to the difficult level of a 5-10 handicap player. On average I should in the high 70's and find some days more challenging then others depending on pin placement. But if you are a golf with great accuracy then this course will be almost no match for you. For if you are able to stay in the farways even par is something insight. The course itself is taken care of very nicely and almost all of the employees are friendly. Overall it is my favorite course in the area.

Oak Park Country Club
"Oak Park Country Club"
This is a very nice course to play on. Not the most difficult course you will ever see, but it does have its moments. There is plenty of water and bunkers to keep any golfer busy. Also, the last four holes make the course very challegning. Holes 15 and 16 are the two of the longest par fives on the course. They are followed by the longest par 3 and the you finish of the round with the longest par 4 of the course. The scenery is definetly great, as is the atomosphere. Also, there is a state-of-the-art range and chipping green that could compete with any other clubs.
