This picturesque course is located on 120 acres along the Arkansas River. There are eight lakes in the course's design. The undulating greens are ample, averaging 4,500-square feet. The fairways are wide, especially on the back nine. There are elevation changes on the course. The first three holes are set on a ridge, set off by beautiful pecan trees. A favorite hole on the course is #3, a 400-yard, par 4, which is carved into the side of a hill. Hole #12, a 535-yard, par 5, offers a unique horseshoe of water around the green.

Where else can you play in your hunting clothes?, Jul 28, 2004

I remember the place fondly. We would drive over from Conway when all the other courses were filled. This is not to say we didn't have fun. Very low key and the owner was very nice. The green were pretty good considering everything. The tough part was trying to find your ball even in the middle of the pasture, I mean fairway. It's a great place to play after your morning hunt and don't bother changing your clothes.

Having played this course over the last ten years, I can't help but be dismayed by the declining conditions. It is a classic course that was consistently enjoyable until the last two years. In this time, the course condition, length of rounds and restaurant amenities have all gone downhill. I hope that they can turn this around because it is no longer worth the greens fee that they charge.
