This course features water hazards (ponds) coming into play on five holes. The medium-sized greens are undulating, well-bunkered, and some of them are elevated. The fairways have a scattering of trees and sand bunkers incorporated into their designs. The front nine is much more hilly than the back nine, so you should expect some uneven lies early in the round.

Small town friendly!, Jul 03, 2004

If it only had a CLUB HOUSE & BAR ... If this same course had a nice clubhouse and bar you would think you were at a 5 star course. Skip the club house and save $$$. The greens are very challenging for intermediate players. The rolling front nine criss-crosses through a natural setting. The back nine let's you let out a little stick as it winds through a housing development, wide enough to let you "spray" them a little. Lance, the owner ... is friendly and available and that gives it the home town touch. The bunkers need a little work and the ruff should be higher, but it keeps the play moving.

"Best course i have played on"
This course is the finnest course i have played on. If your looking for a challenge and some senery while your at it this is the course for you. With the somewhat more open fornt nine and the most closed back nine i have played on ever it provides a challenge to any golfer.

"Pleasantly surprised"
Yes, I played tippy twice last summer, I was impressed the greens are well manicured, as are the fairways, the rough, although nearly nonexistent is playable. The fairways are hilly and narrow. Overall, it was a nice playing course for your average golfer. P.S the food in the clubhouse is excellent, try the bunger burger.

Triggs Memorial Golf Course
"Donald Ross Design at Public Rates"
Triggs is a good course, a tough layout from the back tees. Donald Ross designed Muni gets a lot of play and is a little rough around the edges, but a great test of golf. Played there for years before I relocated South.

Sharp Park Golf Course
"Great Value ."
Sharp Park is a city owned course. Extremly reasonable rates. Twilight rate in the summer is about $5.00!!! What a value. It's an older course, fairly flat, easily walked, although carts are available. Several years ago the course was redesigned. Several holes were lengthened, a beautiful pond was added. It only comes into play on one hole and only on the mens tees. Due to the reasonable rates, the course has players of all skill levels.
