This course has been rated the second most difficult course in the Houston area by local publications. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 7th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. In the category of "Best in State" it was selected 9th for 1995-96, and 4th best for 1997-98. The design includes tight fairways with well-bunkered greens, plus water hazards come into play on thirteen holes. One of the best features of the course is the variety of holes it offers.

Great Golf Course, Jul 13, 2004

This course is outstanding. It is not that well known because it is located in a fairly remote area. There are some very fun holes. Hole 14 is a 225 yard par 3 which must carry the water to an island green. The service staff was great and you won't find a better course in the Houston Area.

"Great views/not so great greens"
This is a great little par 3 course with some awesome views of the bay at an elevated tee (4th hole) The greens are covered with clover and are very fast. This is the best par 3 course I've played (only played a few) especially costing only $8.

A long, challenging course that forces you to play your best in every aspect of your game. It features classic rolling terrain and an interesting series of hazards. I think this is one of the finest courses around, and a bargain at that. The course is maintained to the finest standards. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this course to world class players.

Clayton Park Golf Course
"Golfing as a begginer"
This is deffinitely a 5-star begginner course for 1st timers . The people who golf are so bad it isn't even funny. well actually it is pretty funny. Like I know this kid named bob pennock who hit the ball behind him. Man did he suck but this course was perfect for him because he only shot 60 over. At cobbs creek, which by the way is not the best begginers course in the land he shot a 285. He is a good guy. But after he went to Clayton Park for a while it helped him alot now he is shooting 5 over at Clayton and 20 over at Cobbs. So it is a very good course to step you up to the plate.

"Fabulous Views"
Nice wide fairways, challenging holes, but fun for the average golfer. Magnificent views of the entire Mission Mountain Range. A very relaxed environment!
