Sky Mountain Golf Course

1030 N 2600 W
Hurricane, UT 84737
Phone: (435)635-7888

This course was built on mostly flat terrain and is a desert style. The fairways are narrow so sometimes it's easy to get into trouble. Three ponds come into play on three holes. The greens are average-sized and flat. The Virgin River flows alongside many holes. The most difficult hole is #9, a 500-yard, par 5, requiring a straight tee shot toward a narrow landing area that slopes. This course is situated near the entrance to Zion National Park, so the views are spectacular because they feature mountains, mesas, and red sandstone backdrops.

What views!, Oct 19, 2007

Most scenic course in an area with many scenic courses. But watch out for the wind. It can be calm in St. George just 20 miles away, but howling so bad at Sky Mountain you can't get your car door open! Overall it's a good track.

Great value, Amazing views!!, Jul 02, 2004

We came to St. George for our family vacation. We golfed every day for 6 days in a row. The only place that we golfed more than once was Sky Mountain. The prices were as good or better than any of the courses in town and the views can't be beat. (I have golfed every where from Hawaii to Florida including Pebble Beach) The front nine was very enjoyable for me, but being the duffer that I am, the back nine was miserable. Too many houses!!! I just get too nervous to play right in the middle of houses. It was still a fantastic value. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Got a super deal at Comfort Inn for o/night and round of golf for 2 @$99. Both course and hotel were new in those days and, coming from Switzerland we needed spoiling. Hotel was just great, the golf cource just greater and 825 Sky Mountain Blvd the greatest - nearly bought it there and then. Fabulous views, nice tough tight fairways (the rabbits tails are NOT your ball!) and plenty of rabbits to assure that no snakes around if the ball goes off the fairway. One of the nicest golfing experiences I ever had. Keith, Member of New Club, St Andrews, Scotland //I'll be linking this great site to my www.travel.holidays.com worldwide travel links site.

Sky mountain is truely one of the most senic golf courses I have ever played. The view off of the #1 tee box is breathtaking. The grounds crew has done an excellent job in maintaining the course. It is a very good place to golf.
