Located in suburban Indianapolis, this eighteen hole course features several ponds and small lakes, as well as a winding creek. The flat, tree-lined fairways are wide and easy to walk, and the extremely undulated greens play fast and true. One of the most challenging holes is #9, a 508-yard, par 5. With a lake to the left, and a pond directly behind the green, accuracy is a must. Due to its well-maintained terrain, this course always provides an enjoyable round of golf.

Fairway to Heaven?, May 31, 2005

If you dreamed of playing on a golf course that is filled with tree-lined fairways, Morningstar Golf Course will be your cup of tea. However, while a beautiful landscape may be thrilling to some, these beautiful yet narrow fairways will likely prove frustrating to those golfers who drive their ball a great distance, but can't seem to keep it on the straight and narrow. Nevertheless, for those of us who are able to drive straight, but have developed an inferiority complex watching our long drive partners hit the heck out of their drives, this is your chance to get even. By keeping your drive on the fairway you give yourself a better than even chance of beating your long drive cousin at this particular golf course. If you do find yourself off the fairways, be prepared to find the roughs to be really rough with long grass and the trees acting as swaying barriers to the greens. While the greens lacked the quality of other courses (the reason for the rating of 4), the overall beauty of this course make for a fun, yet challenging experience.

Antelope Hills Golf Course
"Diamond in the rough"
In July, 2003 I had the chance to try out this little 9 hole course and I was very satisfied with my experience. The fairways were in tremendous condition and the greens offered a perfect putting surface. We could hear the coyotes howling as we started our round in the morning. The peacefulness alone (my wife and I were the only people on the course) was worth the price of green fees. The green fees, by the way, are very reasonable. The scenery from the first tee is spectacular, especially if you glance to the west. If you're looking for a tough challenge, this isn't the course for you. The course is not too challenging but is a perfect stop if you're a beginner or coming out of Yellowstone and want to just relax on the course. It's very wide open so you shouldn't lose any balls. My wife is a beginner golfer and had a very enjoyable round. Everything is well-maintained and we found the staff to be courteous and friendly. I plan on returning to play this course again and I highly recommend you give it a try. Definitely a course to walk (not ride) to get the full enjoyment.

Wawonowin Country Club
"Hidden jewel"
This course is in the middle of the upper peninsula of Michigan. It is simply the best course I ever played for the money. Quick and true greens were very well maintained (How did they attract such a talented Superintendent). Very challenging holes that do not duplicate themselves. Laid back atmosphere--no pressures!

Nice Club! Clean, well-run, and good coarse layout! I've played here since the 60's, and allthough it's changed hands, it's still the one I prefer in Hauppauge. .........who's the (enterprising)young man selling "Refreshments" thru the gate at merrivale drive? - We allways get a kick outta him, - nice kid!
