This course was built on fairly flat terrain and is easy to walk. The signature hole is #12, a 415-yard, par 4, which has a dogleg left, tree-lined fairway with a creek flowing down the entire right side, and then requiring an approach shot to an elevated green. Water hazards come into play on a few holes.

| Taking up golf after a 30 year hiatus is not easy, but the friendly staff at Sahm Golf Course make it easy. I find the course to be very player-friendly with just the right amount of trees on a rolling landscape. It is nice course for beginners in that there is a limited amount of bunkers and water, but the abundance of trees in the rough mean that all golfers should plan to keep their drives on the fairway. This course has just the right amount of Par 4's mixed with Par 5 and 3's. The atmosphere is not stuffy so beginners, seniors, and ladies will feel right at home. I recommend this course to golfers of all abilities.

| Sahm is really a well kept course. Fairways and greens are kept in excellent condition. It is really a nice, clean and basic course. Not too much water really comes into play very often and the sandtraps aren't too plentiful*. Staff are always friendly and the prices are the same as any other public course in Indy. Highly recommend this course to the weekend and beginner golfers looking for a pleasant place to play. I enjoyed golfing there and look forward to it again this summer. |
