This is a tough course to score well on, but it is fun to play. There are some sand bunkers on the course, but the main hazards are the lakes and wetlands that come into play on most of the holes. The front nine has young trees that haven't quite matured, and the back nine, the older of the two, has many pine trees lining its fairways. The greens are undulating and fast, and the fairways have a defined cut of rough, so shot accuracy is at a premium. The signature hole is #1, a 322-yard, par 4, requiring a blind approach shot over the "Dragon's Head" berm in order to reach the green.

"Quick eighteen"
This course is short, but what it may lack in length it makes up with difficulty along the course. Fast greens and sloping fairways provide players with challenges every time out. Throw in some wind and you are playing some real good golf if you can break eighty from the back tees on this Par 69 course. Fun course with good people in the Pro Shop make this course a great place to play.

"Tough Day"
I played this course with my brother,(scratch) on a Saturday in September 2003. We found it easily, we paid and went thru the rather surly starter and we were off, there wasn't much of a wait on the first tee. The first couple of holes were standard, it was a rather breezy day so I was really challenged to keep my ball on our the fairway.(this would be my problem for most of the round). Nice elavation changes, and the course looked great compared to it's neighbor,(whitetail). Dogs and beer at the turn. The back nine was just as nice as the front. Immaculate greens with challenging pin positions. Afterwards it was a couple of more beers and burgers at the lounge. Good food. If we had more time we would have gone to their fine dining restaurant, got a glance at their menu, looked really nice. great sunset too! Overall a great day.
