This club has three nine hole course that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. These courses are difficult to score well on because the fairways are narrow, and the large greens are fast. There are a number of well-positioned sand bunkers on the courses, and water hazards come into play on a few holes. "Golf Digest" rated Prairie/Marsh as the 19th "Best in State" course for 1997-98.

| The Ivanhoe is an exceptional club, paying close attention to the details you expect from a quality golf club. I found the two nines we played to be very well manicured with short but thick rough and enough sand and water to make accurate shot-making a must, but not too much to make recovery from the occasional errant shot impossible. Our fore-caddie Jeff was personable and had an acute knowledge of each of the 18 holes played. I look forward to the opportunity to add the Forest course to my resume of courses played. |
