As of early 2005 this course is permanently CLOSED :( Apparently it is to be replaced with condo's, which is a real shame considering the enjoyment people received from this nice course. So goes progress . . . or is it degress?

The fairways and greens were in very good condition. Not an easy course from the gold tees (6600) and tough from the back (7000 yards). Water comes into play on 8 holes. The front nine is a bit more challenging than the back, and I would put the three finishing holes up against any three finishing holes in the area. You will play every club in your bag.

Cairo country club offers 18 holes of challenging golf. employees at the club are as generous and courteous as they come. the tree lined fairways call for consistent accuracy off the tee and some strategically placed fairway bunkers make the tee shot a placement factor. bermuda green that are well manacured. my buddy adam schuster says "its good" and my other buddy adam scott says its "da shizzle" the course really flows together throughout the 18 holes and the practice range provides a great area for preparing for the beginning of a round or fine tuning the game.

"It's the people"
I love this golf course. I play in a tournament here every year. I always think I'm going to do better but it has these challenges that change my swing. You will find yourself protecting against going out of bounds, water hazards, sand, trees...they have it all. The number 9 eats me up. It's a dogleg right and if you can manage to stay away from the small canyon on the right you still have the challenge getting on the green that you better save an extra stroke for! Be careful if you go over this green....nothing but trouble. The main thing about this course is the people. They treat you like you were the only one playing that day. You will love the scenery also.
