This is a military course where only military personnel and their guests are allowed to play. This flat course has open fairways, but a defined cut of rough encourages golfers to hit the ball accurately. The greens are medium in size and their speeds are determined by seasonal weather conditions. The signature hole is #15, a 174-yard, par 3, which requires an uphill tee shot that must carry to an elevated green. Picking the wrong club on this hole often means a high score. This course became public in September of 1999, when the base closed down.

| Last time I played this course (2003), it was in decent condition for an inexpensive round of golf. My family likes playing there because it is a more forgiving course and the pace is more relaxing. Greens were in pretty bad shape but that may have been due to the change in seasons. I'd play it again but dont compare it it in quality to most of the other public courses. However, you wont pay twice as much either. |
