• Quarry Hills Country Club
  "Natural golf"
  Ellis Maples used time-tested design methods on Quarry Hills golf course. Not alot of earth was moved when placing the holes, and the result is a warm, natural feel when walking this course. In fact, it was made to walk. Despite its short length, it is a strong test of golfing skill to score well here. A true Hidden Gem in North Carolina.

  I am a novice player (or hacker). I think this is a great place to learn. I don't know anywhere else in the city where you can walk up on a nice weekend and not wait long to play. The POOR DRAINAGE on Hole 1 in the fairway 20 yds. from the green makes this blind approach shot unfair. That and more yardage markers are my only complaints. The greens are well kept for a municiple course. The fairways are maintained well. The long holes, narrow fairways, and blind approach shots make this course challenging even though there are no bunkers and two water hazards. Their practice facilities which include a practice range, a sand bunker, at least two chipping areas, and a putting green is ideal for the novice golfer to work on their game.

  "Good Course"
  A very good course to practice on. Like the description indicates, it isnt an easy course to par. Nice driving range and nice people. Great place to brush up on your shots.
