This scenic course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies in the fairways. The Black Water Creek, highlighted by swinging-wooden bridges, comes into play on a few holes. The large greens are fast, and the fairways afford generous landing areas. The course was redesigned in 1993 by Jerry Pate.

A Hidden Gem, Feb 25, 2004

This is a very beautiful course, It is a hidden Golf treasure for the state of Alabama. The par 3 up the cliff #9 is tricky hole that says 111 yards, but plays more like 130, I loved it. I would recommend this course to golfers of all levels and Handicap's.

Ballwin Golf Course

I play this course regularly on a ladies league. It is consistently in great shape, with very challenging greens. The greens are typically in fantastic shape--better than The Bluffs by far! The pro, Dave is knowledgable and great for lessons for both beginners and those wanting to improve. I believe the only 'problem' is for the men following the ladies on their league days--we're trying to pick up our speed. You'll enjoy the challenges of the water(there is a creek/water on 7 of the 9 holes) and sand traps.

New course design and rebuild has made it one of the best in the area. You will not find greens any more beautiful. True, fast and just beautiful. I also love the changes they have made to 12, 13, 17. One of my favorite tracks.

Hawktree Golf Course
"Mid-80's golfer"
Hawktree is an extremely beautiful and challenging course. By having four seperate tee box choices, the course is designed for the best golfers right down to the average golfers. Course management is an absolute must. "Risk-Reward" is an understatement. You can find yourself adding several strokes if you get "too gutsy." The design of the course offers beautiful views with challenging holes. It is a little spendy, but you WILL get your money's worth. I recommend it to everybody who swings a stick.
