This brand new course has fairly wide fairways with about half being tree-lined. The terrain is hilly, so there will be a lot of uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on four holes, and sand bunkers are located on half of the holes. The greens are large, sloped and generally fast.

Fun course, Apr 25, 2004

I play this course a couple dozen times per year. Greens are very large and true. Price ($30 with cart) is fair. Golf Digest's four star review was a little exaggerated, but I love to play here and find it challenging yet still scoreable. As previous reviewer said, 3 par fives on each side give better scoring opps. Some greens are so large that you can be on a green and realize you should have hit maybe two clubs more to get nearer the pin. If you hate chipping and don't mind long putts, you've found nirvana here. Staff is very friendly. Perfect course for vacationers, but I am local and still enjoy it very much.

This course has a real fun layout. With 3 three's, 3 four's, and 3 five's per side you can find some scoring holes. A real challenge from the back tees, but fun from the middle. If your on vacation here make this a spot to play.

"simply amazing!!"
I was very lucky to be able to play this private track. I would highly recommend this course if you are ever able to get the invite. The clubhouse is what you would expect at a private gated community, large and splendid. But the true beauty is the 18 holes of pure bliss. The course slips and slides through some amazing terrain and it is a shot makers course. You can enjoy this course at any handicap because of the many tee options but if you are feeling bold, take a few steps back and take on the whole course. This course offers alot to the average golfer but like I said, If you get the chance to play it don't pass it up.This is a top 3 course on the grand strand but because it is private not many people get the honor of playing this amazing golf course.

"Great Beginner couse"
This course is great for beginners. Althought the course is go for starters it is also challenging. Some of the green can be quiet hard. The 5th hole in my opinion is the hardest. This course is my home course formy school golf team and it can be very hard for even some good players.

Desert Dunes Golf Course
"Awesome Links Course"
This course is a hidden gem in the desert. The holes are all long and narrow, the greens are always in fantastic shape (except in July and August but it is a 110 degrees anyway). Watch out for desert rabbits, they are everywhere. The course might be a little to windy from June through September.

Money Hill Golf & Country Club
"Money Hill - a truly exceptional course!"
From the tremendous elevation changes to the challenging design, Money Hill is far and away the best golf course in Louisiana! The course is very well maintained and always looks stunning! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and overly welcoming. The Practice Facility is the best I have seen anywhere in the country. If you ever have a chance to play at Money Hill, don't pass up the opportunity!
