Great layout, Apr 22, 2009

This course has one of the best layouts and I have been blessed to play some of the best. I does however get taken over by crab grass in late summer. But who can complain with the greens free an inexpensive as they are. If you enjoy wildlife that is an extra bonus. Have had to escort wild turkeys off the tee box and deer are abundant.

This course offers you the chance to swing every stick in your arsenal and If you can move the ball right and left you'll score well here. The par 3 number 6 with a back right pin placement is one of the more challenging long irons you'll have to strike. Birdie number 11 and 12 and you've got your "A" game on big time. Definitely one of the better bargains around because you'll pay twice as much elsewhere and get challenged less. Just don't tell that to the guys in the Pro Shop!!

Wilshire Golf Club
"Good Challenge; Poor Conditions."
Wilshire is a challenge in disguise. With many decisions shots like weather to carry the creek on the first hole or whether or not to cut the corner off of the 17th. But the adverse course condidions can discourage most golfers that are looking for a challenge. Shabby fairways and greens give it a rough appearance but it is a good deal for the price.

"Pleasantly surprised"
Yes, I played tippy twice last summer, I was impressed the greens are well manicured, as are the fairways, the rough, although nearly nonexistent is playable. The fairways are hilly and narrow. Overall, it was a nice playing course for your average golfer. P.S the food in the clubhouse is excellent, try the bunger burger.

Inconsistent greens throughout and tee boxes from hell. The 12th tee grass is 6 inches tall all the time....please someone wake up. The range is closed to paying customers and open to members only. Big deal it's just a stupid field. If you want to play fun golf, go somewhere else.
