If you are a member of Admirals Cove Club, you may play the eighteen hole course at The Club at Admirals Cove, or the three nine hole courses at Admirals Cove Golf Village. This particular course has water hazards coming into play on fourteen holes. The fairways have a scattering of trees, so they are moderately open. The greens come in a variety of styles from level, tiered, to elevated. The course plays alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, but the waterway does not come into play. The signature hole is #18, a 440-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee, then an approach shot, which must carry a minimum of 130 yards of water to reach the green.

Andover Golf & Country Club
"One of the Best"
Andover is certainly one the best course in the region. It is very challenging as well as one of the most beautiful courses around. The greens at peak season are like glass, the roughs will chew you up and cost additional strokes and the narrow fairways boarded by homes will make you shiver. Your score is determined how well you can over come the fear of taking a full swing or whimp out just to keep it in play. Not being an extra long course makes you contemplate the great shots instead of the smart ones. When you make a mistake take the bogey and go on to the next hole.

Chapel Hill Country Club
"HARD TO GET ON - GREAT TO PLAY"
Course is a traditional style designed by Gene Hamm and renovated by John LaFoy in 1999. This is the only private course in Chapel Hill. Walking is encouraged and it is a great way to experience the course. Signature hole IS NOT # 14. It's # 10 which can require carry over water twice. Pin on this hole makes 3 to 4 clubs difference on second shot. It's a beauty! Only one hole without bunkers - the par 3 9th is about 175 uphill from middle tees. Out of bounds on many of the holes as the fairways rise and fall through a very established traditional and exclusive neighborhood. Greens are all large (with at least 6 different zones on each one for pin placement)and have many contours. Three putts are common - especially in spring and fall when the bent grass surface is kept very fast. Bring your thinking cap, but also bring your game if your fun comes from scoring well. It's not an easy course, but it's not Jack Nicklaus difficult either.

Desert Dunes Golf Course
"Awesome Links Course"
This course is a hidden gem in the desert. The holes are all long and narrow, the greens are always in fantastic shape (except in July and August but it is a 110 degrees anyway). Watch out for desert rabbits, they are everywhere. The course might be a little to windy from June through September.

Colton Golf Club
"Good Value"
I highly recomend this course for begining golfers and intermediate golfers alike. Although the fairways are not always in good condition, the greeens always are. 15 of the holes are par 3s and the rest are short par 4s. It's very inexpensive ($7 on weekdays!) and a good value. Its almost never crowded and you don't have to rush. Its easy enough for young golfers and allows more experienced golfers to work on their short game with a wide variety of par 3s (from 100 to 210 yards) Most of the holes are around 140-150 yards. I play at this course more than any other for a good reason, the value.
