This municipal course is generally in great condition. The tree-lined fairways are narrow and defined by a standard cut of rough. A water hazard comes into play on one hole, and there are many sand bunkers positioned throughout the course. The terrain is relatively flat, but there is some mounding which can cause uneven lies. Most of the fast greens are slightly sloped and average-sized.

This place has gone downhill, Nov 02, 2010

It looked like they carpet bombed the fairways. Greens were in terrible shape. People were a**holes too. Typical rich-hoidy-toidy golf course atmosphere. We had a passbook with a free round. As soon as they seen that, they treated us like crap. I didnt make you sell the passbooks, I just bought one! I wont be returning there.

I played Milham growing up and through college and it was a fun course then. Returning to it 10 years later, the course has matured well and was in great condition. Good walking course. This course gets over 50,000 rounds a year, and is always manicured extremely well with great greens. If you are in the area, it is a must play.

I thought that the course was in good condition the only problem is in the evening on hole 8 you can not see where you hit the ball.

Found course to be very challenging. Greens were the best I have ever played on. Some areas on course under repair with new irrigation system, but that will only improve the fairways. Look forward to playing the course in the future.

Wynstone is situated on a topographically diverse landscape, unbecoming of many Chicagoland golf venues. It has abundant wildlife which adds to the course's balance between a parkland and wetland.
