excellent for what it is, May 24, 2004

reviewer: zuckinge belldinghalder from sutrock, michigan (near kalamazoo)

has a large course feel for an exec course. nicely scaped course with small greens make this course a challenge for any skill level. 4 holes are chip and put. 3 will require a high iron. two could be called "real" holes.

"Great Secret"
Who would think that such a great course would be in Whidbey. The course has some challeging holes as well as some scenery. For some of you big hitters it has a couple of holes that tempt you to go for it. I wouldn't if I were you. Looks can be deciving. If they don't get you the slope on the 18th green will. Stick it close. A great secret.

"One of the Best I've played"
I had a wonderful time playing Cameron Hills last season. I found this shorter course was both enjoyable and challenging. This is my first year swinging a club and I have visited several courses. I felt this course allowed me to play a challenging round while improving my skills without the frustration of the harder courses. Even though Cameron Hills is an hour away from home, I plan on making a couple of trips to the links this year. I played the course right after Hurricane Isabel played through and the only problem I had with the course was the debris from the hurricane. I don't hold that against Cameron Hills, they made a good attempt at working around the fallen trees. Thanks for a great time, I'm looking forward to visiting again.
