This course is full of hills, so expect many lies to be above or below your feet. The fairways are plush, and the greens are easy to read and some are elevated. The signature hole is #1, a 243-yard, par 3, requiring everything the average player has to reach this green in regulation. Marvin Ferguson redesigned four holes in 1975, followed by Bill Amick, who redesigned the entire course in 1984. The 5,898-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 73.5 and slope of 123. The 5,615-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 67.2 and slope of 117.

I could not believe this course only received 1 star! If you know anything about golf, then you will appreciate the strategy needed to play the Donald Ross Design. If you are able to tackle this course layout then you are ready to play anywhere; an amazing way to bring your golf game up to speed. I would recommend Hillcrest Country Club to anyone.

Great Donald Ross course with his signature large greens. Immaculate course conditions and unbelievably thick rough. The course is very fair and you are able to score if you get on a roll. In the middle of a park so there are no homes/streets surrounding the course. Well kept secret!

Cobblestone Golf Course
"Great layout"
This course has it all! Some very challenging holes, as well as a few tameable ones. The holes vary, some are flat and others have rising or falling terrain. Most fairways have some undulation. The scenery is serene, especially the holes near Lake Acworth. If you haven't played here, you are missing out on a GA treasure.

High Ridge Country Club
"Breathtaking"
This very exclusive club is one of the best i've ever played on. Not excessively long, but very challenging. The course was in impeccable shape, and 16 of the 18 holes could be signature holes. If you ever get a chance to play this beatiful track, jump at it.

Willow Springs Country Club
"Scottish track with many nuances"
I am a member at Willow Springs. Although not the longest of courses, it will teach you all the shots you need to know. The course is always in playable condition and is a challenge for all golfers, I myself being a scratch golfer.
