Designed by International and PGA Tour Champion Greg Norman, this par 72 course plays 7,100 from the back tees. Constructed among a multitude of hardwood trees, creeks, lakes and wetland terrain, Meadowbrook Farms boasts gently rolling fairways framed by native prairie grasses and wild flowers, undulating greens, and sod wall bunkers. Tee times can be reserved via the club's web site.

I had looked forward to its completion eagerly. However, I found Meadowbrook Farms to be pretentious. It has great service, carts and a class clubhouse. The course itself seemed cheaply built. The clubs touted "Texas Native Grasses" are what you find in any vacant lot in the Houston area. I suspect they are a means to reduce operating cost.

I've played this course since it opened, and it's gotten more enjoyable each time - and the first time was even great! The staff is OK, but gets friendlier every time you go back and play. It's a great course - wish it was MORE expensive to keep the hacks out of here! Once word gets out, then EVERYONE will want to play here!

This is the best conditioned course in Houston year round, public or private. The staff is really friendly. If you can't get off the tee consistently for good yardage then play up a set of tees or play somewhere else......I pay $400 bucks a month at my private club and never play there, I prefer to play Meadowbrook.....

For the money one of the best 9 hole courses in western kansas, green speeds and roll out are up there with the big boys if not better. Fairways and teeing surfaces are always in better than average condition even in the hot months. Keep it in the fairway!

"My first course"
I grew up playing MCC. The main criticism of the track has always been that you never get a flat lie, which is often enough true, but a weak criticism nonetheless. When typically fast the greens are challenging (hint: everything breaks toward the ocean); on #13, if you don't keep it below the hole, any putt you don't sink will wind up all the way at the bottom. The course favors a longer driver, and offers plenty of challenge and opportunity for creativity. And you can't beat the view of the Pacific.

Mr.Dan Buffoin, please contact me, Kaktos@aol.com, and I'll treat the next round at DRGC, after 2pm! Dobson Ranch Golf Course is JUST a great golf 'destination.' The whole operation, form A to Z is professionally run and maintained. The course, 6630 yard. Blue, par 72, 71.1/123 rating/slope. Wonderfully maintained by the Golf Superintendent and players keep-it-up nicely, too. A practice driving/ironing range, bunker and chipping area, two putting greens with lights, open to 9 pm. A complete full-line Pro Shop with friendly, knowledgeable staff and professional instructors. Demo clubs�drivers, fairways, irons & putters available @ no charge. Now, the restaurant with separate bar, is one of the better places in the East Valley for breakfast(eggs benedictus, et al.) and lunch. And much more at Dobson Ranch Golf Course.
