This regulation eighteen hole course features a front nine that is located on very hilly terrain with numerous mature trees lining the fairways. The back nine holes are relatively flat and wide open. There are several holes on the front nine that feature elevated greens and tees. The signature hole is #5, a 454-yard, par 5, which features a dogleg right fairway with a creek bisecting it about 200 yards from the tee. To the right of the fairway is dense forest, while the left has an open field. The green is slightly elevated with dense forest behind it.

This is a great course. I had a membership to this course when I played on my High School golf team my senior year. Very fun course.

Bear Creek is a very pleasureable course to play. To the unexperienced golfer it may appear difficult, and it is. Bear Creek is one of the hardest courses in Washington. Sleepy Hollow Country Club - Eighteen Hole Course
"High Quality Private Club"
As a Brit abroad, I was lucky enough to receive a couple of invitations to play here. The whole experience was outstanding, from the service at the club to the course itself. The clubhouse is one of the more impressive around (probably only improved upon by my home course in the UK!). The track itself was in excellent condition and, as with other Tillinghast courses, was a good strategic challenge, although not as 'man-sized' as say Winged Foot West and Bethpage Black. More playable for someone of my ability and therefore perhaps as enjoyable.

Spring Creek Country Club
"1 goofy hole"
I like this golf course, but 1 hole make it less than stellar. Number 12 is a ridiculous 90 degree dogleg that takes away from the rest of the course. Speed of play has been exceptional every time I have played, but that 1 idiotic hole ruins ithe backside. I suggest moving up the box and making it a par 3 or redoing it altogether.

Winter Springs Golf Club
"Winter Springs Wetlands"
This course is challenging because your lie had better be in the fairway or you'll most likely be looking for it in some form of casual water or very thick rough. The fairways were either overly-tight, negelected, outright wet, or all three. The greens are a muddy, slow-medium to slow speed with only a fair amount of undulation. The par 3 greens are almost all too large and too flat to be much fun. I've played WPGC twice and didn't really enjoy the experience because of all the standing water in the rough and on the fairways. I'm rating the course at 2 stars only because they have reliable and frequent refreshment cart service.
