Moderate Course, Great Layout, Oct 04, 2005

Great course, can't believe the low green fees, there are a few rough spots and 4 or so greens could use some work, but not bad at all. Fun long holes with moderate greens, and easily save yourself from certain doom when in rough or bunker. Fun course would reccomend to any Amature Golfer ( 1-4 yrs experience) but may not pose much challenge to an experienced golfer.

Pines Municipal Golf Course, The
"Tough for it's size"
I'm origianally from Toccoa and have played this golf course many many times. While only a 9 hole course, it is worth the money to play it. It is far less expensive than most golf corses and offers real challenges for even experienced golfers. The terrain is extremely hilly and almost every hole has an extreme change in elavation. The green's are extremely small and very very fast. During the summer the fairways and greens are fairly well manicured although winter play tends to be a little harder on some holes due to a harder fairways from less moisture. Fairways are extemely tight with hundreds of opportunities to lose balls in pine forests and a courseside lake on the last two holes. Overall, not an allstar course but for a quick, challenging, and inexpensive round well worth the time.

This golf course is sneaky long, but it is made difficult because the greens won't hold a shot longer than a nine iron, the greens are too small and there is very little space on either side of most of the greens to make a chip shot. This course is much poorer than several public layouts and the membership is both expensive and poorly managed.

golf at raymondville g&cc, is truly an unforgettable experience. the greens are well watered and the bent grass is excellent.there are many challenging holes., the first tee to green is a whopping par 5.with water about 180 yds left.towering trees protect right side, so u must hit a high drive to clear trees. then u have decent chance to get a birdie.7,8 and 9 are long long drives. clubhouse is fantastic
