This lush course offers two distinctive personalities in its eighteen hole design. The front nine holes are a links design with an abundance of water hazards coming into play. The greens are not undulated, however, they have subtle breaks that are challenging to read. The fairways are open and are designed for the "big hitter." The back nine is more typical of a mountain course. It is shorter than its sister nine, with smaller, more undulating greens. Target golf best describes this half of the course. The signature hole on this course is #15, a 187-yard, par 3, which requires hitting over cattails and a marsh area to reach the green. Pot bunkers line the left and back, with another marsh area guarding the back of the green.

| I had the pleasure of playing this course a few weeks ago. The greens and fairways are top-notch and the course itself is pretty straight forward. You can easily find yourself in some tricky situations if you get offline, but the majority of holes are semi-forgiving. Found in the heart of East Tennessee and is surrounded by beautiful mountains. A must play! |
