I played this course and have to say for the price it is really nice. It challenges you in many ways. On this course you can't be afriad of your driver and mid irons. Good challenge and a lot of fun.

Nice Greens, Tight fairways, Jul 24, 2004

The course has very nice bent greens that they keep pretty moist. Your Iron shots really stick. The fairways are tight with almost unplayable rough and several water hazards. Shot placement is crucial to keep yourself out of trouble.

Delaware Park Course
"Delaware 2003 review"
Delaware Park is a great place to learn to play golf because it offers open fairways, well maintained greens, no sand or water. There is hardly ever a bag line. There are 18 holes on relatively flat land. The trees present the only problems as many are in the fairways. The course conditions have shown vast improvement recently , especially in 2003 when new tee boxes were planted and benches were placed at each hole. It compares favorably, I think to the 2 other city courses, Cazenovia and South Park. Those courses offer just 9 holes each. The park setting is beautiful. If you want to practice without being intimidated, this is the place.

The fairways here are nice, the greens protect the course and make it extraordinarily challenging. It doesn't play long but you have to be a good iron player to shoot anywhere in the 70's.
