Located on more than 235 acres, Plum Creek features multiple water hazards, strategically placed grass mounds and well-guarded greens. The Plum Creek Golf facility has the unique distinction of having a layout where no two fairways touch. The advanced golfer can take the challenge of playing from the back tees, which measure over 7,000 yards. Four tee boxes offer a challenging round of golf for every handicap. Plum Creek provides a driving range and practice facility, as well as a nine-hole executive Par-3 course. Golf instruction is available, as are a complete pro-shop and snack bar.

Carper's Valley Golf Club
"local and enjoyable"
Although an older course it has improved with age and with the rainy season last year (2002) the greens are fuller. A range is available and I try to get the most of my short game with the putting green. The back nine brings you up next to the airport but the single engine planes are not loud and are enjoyable to watch landing as your partner tries to keep up your great shot.

Fast greens, Plush fairways, challenging layout. Not as open as it looks. The course was redone from tee to green about a year ago. This course will play like a 5 star course when the renovations mature. Best little course in the midlands. Friendly staff. Friendly members. Worth the money to join. Worth the money to play.

Gulfport Par 3
"Great Course for Novices,a challenge for all levels."
I played the Gulfport Par 3 twice in march of 2001. I found some holes challenging with the trees and water hazzards. It is not your typical pitch and putt Par 3. There is a 160 plus Par 3 and a few similiar holes. If you are a trveler in the Gulf Coast region and can not wait a long time to get on a regulation course because of lack of time or just want relaxing golf this is the place. The staff at the course are excellent on advice on how to play it,and are great on southern hospatality.I will definetly play this course on any future visits to the Gulf Coasts.
