This course is among the oldest west of the Rocky Mountains. A major renovation and tree-planting program converted it into a championship course in 1964. There are more than 1,800 trees on the course affecting play on every hole. At any time of year, some trees are in bloom. The terrain is quite hilly and the sloped greens are small. This club played host to the National Junior Girls Championship in 1967 and was the site of the SCGA Amateur Championship in 1969, 1979 and 1994. The 1994 event was won by Tiger Woods with a tournament record of 270 and a course record score or 62.

you need all the clubs in your bag..when your on the tee box your thinking about how critical your tee shot is..great golf coarse!!

This course is not for the higher handicap golfer. It is designed to challenge the mid to low handicappers. I have an index of 4 and shoot high 70s to low 80s. I would recommend this course for the lower handicapper. The practice facility is excellent as well.

This course is fairly tight with large greens that are exquisite. They roll very well and are extremely undulating....making for putting challenges. Even though the length is about 6200 yds from the back tees, it plays a lot longer than that due to the hills, large greens, and abundant sand.
