This is a magnificent course. It is constantly being rated as one of the top ten courses in Louisiana by notable publications. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 6th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. Ponds and out-of-bounds stakes make this a definite shotmaker's course. Water hazards come into play on sixteen holes. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking and very relaxing. There is a separate green fee rate for Fridays.

| Avoid this course at all cost unless you are looking for livestock. A friend and I played this course Monday, June 12, 2004. Wished we hadn't. When I called the day before for course conditions the Club Pro said the course and greens were in good shape. He said the course was drying out and would be 90 degrees on Monday. He even compared his course to LSU's University Club (ha, ha, ha...not even in the same ballpark.) When we arrived it looked like the grounds keepers were bailing hay. The fairways were very thick and deep, the roughs were too deep (hadn't been cut in quite some time). All of the bunkers were washed out, some had mud on the bottoms others were still full of water, one of the bunkers even had two dead fish in it. The greens were very bumpy. There was a dead duck on the cart path between holes one and two. When we arrived we were told carts on path, but we played it 90 degrees anyway and left no ruts or any sign that we drove onto the fairways. I wouldn't have been so upset if the Pro would have at least been honest and told us to try his course on another day, after his crews catch up on course maintenance. When we expressed our concerns the Pro just said his course is a nice one. Just be HONEST. I won't be back again and neither will any of my golf buddies. |

| This golf course is in good shape and is a great test of golf. The cost of playing 45.00 with a cart is a bargin! |
