This course offers narrow, tree-lined fairways and average-sized greens that vary in undulation. Small ponds create obstacles throughout the present design. Although the course is still open, renovations are currently in progress and include creating new holes, rebuilding some of the greens and eventually lengthening the course. The renovations are scheduled for completion by the end of the year 2000.

Fun & fair, Aug 31, 2004

I did not play the course prior to the renovation but it currently plays like a true championship course. Although there are hills, it is still a comfortable course to walk and play. The greens are undulating and quick. Several blind shots require a walk up the fairway prior to teeing off. If you catch a nice day, you should have lots of fun.

I had a fantastic expereince at this course in the Summer of 2003. The course made some great improvements to its already outstanding terrain. Most of all the staff in and around the pro shop were second to none. This truly is a big time course set in a small town atmosphere with all the warmth and hospitaltity one might expect from the "Augusta Nationals" of the south.
