Went looking for this on April 10, 2004. It wasn't easy to find because Mapquest does not recognize the street "Chestnut Cove". Eventually found it, "course closed" clearly abandoned, broken windows on the rundown building.. course overgrown with weeds. No fence. I was able to walk out to what must have been the T for the first hole. Must have been nice. Too bad it is out of business. Just the sort of low-key, learner's course I was looking for.

"TOUGH GREENS"
I live in the neighborhood so, I've played it many times. Very nice course. Be in shape if you're gonna walk it, though, it isn't called Hilltop for nuthin! Competitive rates, great conditon. These greens are TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUFF. They're fun though, as is the whole course. Lotta trees lining the fairways, so you gotta keep it straight. Not a lot of water comes into play, just a few holes.

Wonderfull! - Grew up there, right next door - on Merrivale drive. (6, Merrivale drive to be exact!) - used to play army there! ( when I was a young soldier, - back in the '60s.) Well, I don't know about golf, but living next door to that BEAUTIFUL golfcourse was a memory I'll cherish forever!
