This course's newly built fairways are wide open and rolling. The greens are very undulating and large. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 4th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. Water comes into play on eleven holes. The front nine is more wide open than the back nine. The back nine requires more precise tee shots due to the narrower, tree-lined fairways. There are sand bunkers on every hole except #1.

great value, May 10, 2008

I'm a beginning golfer, and I like this course a lot. Folks here are understanding about "newbies", and it's a great value for the money. Be aware, though that the course is located right next to a military airport, with a railroad running alongside it, and can be irksomely noisy at times. Also, there's lots of water to eat up balls (at least at my level of play!). But having said that, I heartily recommend it.

Mallard Cove is a great value and challenging course for the money. You can easily get a tee time and it won't break the bank. If you are in the area it is worth considering.
