This scenic course is located in a valley, nestled between a couple of mountains. The fairways are wide open, and the medium-sized greens are fast. There are ponds that come into play on three holes. The signature hole is #13, a 448-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee to a dogleg left fairway. This course offers two discount rates. The green fee for nine holes before 7 AM is reduced between the months of June and August.

Great vacation golf, Apr 14, 2009 |

| We discovered this course years ago, on the recommendation from the Fort William Henry matredee. Since that recommendation, we haven't played anywhere but Queensbury. The course is always in great condition and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is not a "difficult" course but makes for a very relaxing day of golf. We are from Salem, Nh and we will make the drive to Queensbury just to play here for the day. |

Queensbury - SLOW PLAY, Aug 11, 2008 |

| I vacationed in Lake George for a week and played the course twice. Rates are great during the week at $39 to ride for 18, but, you have to be willing to put up with beginner golfers and slow speed of play. I played 18 holes on July 5th and was caught behind 2 foursomes that would not let you play through. The ranger told our group that we were playing slow because groups behind us were being held up. The ranger did not tell the groups ahead to speed up play or to let us play through. We found out later that they were Tuesday morning regulars. Our foursome had scores of 84,88,88 and 90. Our time on the course was 4 hrs 45 minutes because of the slow play. The next round was better after the group ahead got off the course after nine holes. Time to play 4hrs, 10 minutes- 2 hrs, 20 minutes for the front 9. If that works for you I would say the cost and condition of the course is worth it to play. |
