Whoa, Jul 17, 2007

I had played the course previously when it was nine holes. I little rough but not a bad place to take a beginner, terrific views. My second vist was a complete disaster. They obviously have no experience running a golf course (or business for that matter) They sent 12 of us out with only nine paying. We suggested starting on the back nine and they looked at us like we had asked them to explain calculus. When after being run off the course after only 45mins. by a serious lightning storm instead of inviting us in to spend money at the bar and grill, they had us wait on the porch while they hid so the "Manager" could inform us that we would not be entitled to a rain check. They were so concerned about saving a couple rain checks (that would likely never be used)that it never occurred to them what kind of cash 12 yuppies would spend on lunch and a bar tab in the rain.

An Unexpected Find, Aug 15, 2004

I found this course wide open with smaller, tough greens. Some holes hilly with blind dogleg challenges. There are spectacular vistas of Lake George and neighboring mountains. The clubhouse offers a B&B with unlimited golf (cart extra) with the stay - a real bargain.

Very accomadting for large groups and easy to get on. The course views are terrific. The course isn't too difficult but the greens are. I will play this course again in a heart beat. A "great secret" in the area.
